In 1977, Andy Warhol painted 10 famous athletes of the time. Lengendary jockey, Bill Shoemaker was the first to pose. Shoemaker won four Kentucky Derbys and retired as the all-time Throughbred Jockey with over 8,000 career victories.

The Shoemaker Foundation released this poster through a special arrangement with the Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Only 100 posters were printed.
